Solve the glare and heat in your roof lantern

Motorised cellular blinds that fit any shape or angle. Quiet, discreet, and controlled at the touch of a button. Two specialist systems for flat and sloped glazing.

Roof lantern blinds

The Challenge

Roof lanterns are beautiful. Until the sun comes out.

A roof lantern floods your room with natural light, and that is exactly why you chose it. But on a sunny day, that same glass can turn your kitchen or extension into a greenhouse. The temperature climbs, the glare makes it hard to see screens and surfaces, and UV light fades your furniture and flooring over time.

Standard blinds are not designed for overhead glazing. They sag, they cannot cope with angles, and most need manual operation that is simply impractical when the glass is three metres above you. Roof lanterns and skylights need a purpose built solution.

That is exactly what motorised cellular blinds are designed to do. They sit neatly inside the rooflight cavity, operate silently at the touch of a button or remote, and give you full control over heat, glare, and privacy without losing the architectural beauty of your lantern.

Two Specialist Systems

Which system do I need?

We offer two motorised cellular blind systems, each engineered for different types of roof glazing. The right choice depends on the angle and width of your installation.

Mark I

Horizontal

Designed for flat rooflights, cupolas, and horizontal glazing. Sits on a precision shelf system fitted inside the cavity, with micro support cables that are virtually invisible at narrower widths.

  • Width 700mm to 2,800mm
  • Maximum area 7.5m²
  • Zero visible cables under 1,500mm width
  • 12V or 24V motor options
  • Best for wider openings over 2,000mm

Mark II

Any Angle

Works at any angle from horizontal to vertical. A completely wire free solution with the motor and transformer included in the price. Our recommended system for most installations.

  • Any angle from 0° to 90°
  • Width 400mm to 2,000mm
  • Completely wire free
  • Motor and transformer included
  • Recommended for most installations

Quick Selection Guide

Any slope or angle?

Mark II only. Designed to work at any pitch from flat to vertical.

Wider than 2,000mm?

Mark I only. Covers widths up to 2,800mm for larger roof lanterns.

The Benefits

What cellular blinds do for your space

25mm honeycomb fabric traps a layer of insulating air between you and the glass, giving you control over heat, light, and comfort all year round.

Heat Reduction

Honeycomb cells trap air to create a thermal barrier. Keeps your extension comfortable in summer and reduces heat loss in winter, lowering your energy bills.

Glare Control

Eliminates harsh overhead glare that makes it impossible to use screens or enjoy your space. Softens daylight into a comfortable, even glow throughout the room.

Room Darkening

Room darkening fabrics dramatically reduce the light coming through overhead glazing. Perfect for media rooms, bedrooms with skylights, and spaces where you want control over brightness.

Motorised Convenience

Quiet motorised operation via remote control. No cords, no poles, no struggling to reach overhead glazing. Simply press a button and the blind glides silently into position.
